These drawings were all created using ink and digital media. I scan my black and white ink drawings and rebuild them on the computer. In essence they are all collages, using drawings instead of photographs.

My illustrations are influenced by the world around me, by people, music and art. I’ve also found a lot of inspiration in the work of Chihiro Iwasaki, Ed Emberley, Jack Kirby, the Hokusai sketchbooks, Arnold Lobel, as well as in countless children’s books and comic books.

Many of these illustrations were drawn for Time magazine, Fortune, the New York Times, the Boston Globe, Guitar Player, Sunlight Soap, Telus, Royal Bank, the Globe and Mail, Dallas Morning News, Scholastic, and many others. Some were drawn for my own amusement though.
